The Priceless Gown Project accepts donations of formal dresses only. We no longer accept accessories or shoes. We also accept monetary donations and sponsorships. Donations are eligible for tax deductions.

We will be closing our dress collection on January 1, 2009 in order to prepare for the 2009 Priceless Gown Project Boutique. Please be sure to make any donations prior to January 1, 2009.

Please read the following to be certain your dress is eligible for a donation.

  • Donations should be in new or almost-new condition. Gowns can not be stained or be in need of repair. Please look over your dress thouroughly.
  • Before donating, ask yourself if you would wear or allow your daughter or best friend to wear the item to a black tie event - if the answer is YES - then it is appropriate for donation to The Priceless Gown Project.
  • We require that gowns are dry-cleaned prior to donating.

You can drop off your gown donation at one of our drop off locations in Central Maryland or you can mail us your donation directly. All donations must be accompanied by a completed receipt for our records. If you would like your donation to be eligible for a tax deduction, be sure to keep a copy for yourself as well.

Don't have a dress to donate, but still want to help? We now accept monetary donations online via a secure website.

This month PGP joined with Hearst Magazines (Seventeen, CosmoGirl, TEEN, Marie Claire) to launch a new website: DonateMyDress.org The site will feature a directory of local dress drive organizations across the U.S. that will enable girls to easily find out where in their local markets they can donate a dress or receive one.  DonateMyDress.org will feature information on upcoming local events, a photo gallery of real girls donating and receiving dresses, as well as links to content on prom and quinceañera planning, hair and makeup tips, and other worthy causes.
Check back in the upcoming months as the site will feature letters from our girls in Baltimore as well as pictures from our event!  The campaign will also be featured in upcoming issues of Seventeen and CosmoGirl so check your local newstand.
