With each season, fashion changes over the year. Each season brings new styles and trends, whether it’s certain colors, cuts, or prints. Here are some of the latest spring fashion trends.
A trend many designers have set for spring are cutouts. Cutouts can be on any type of clothing (tops, pants, skirts) made out of any type of fabric. This style varies. One example is a garment cut to have one or more open panels, exposing skin. Another example is a garment cut to have open panels that have sheer fabric sewn over them, such as mesh or lace.
Another trend is monochrome colors paired with one neon color. This applies to all styles of clothing, whether it’s business attire, formal wear, or casual wear. It also applies to shoes and accessories, such as scarves and belts. It’s an easy trend to follow because it simply involves wearing black and white clothing with the addition of one neon color. An example of this is to wear a black jacket, a white shirt, black pants, and a neon pink belt with matching neon pink shoes.
Bold prints are also a trend. Specifically, the prints in style for spring are stripes and checkered print. This trend applies to clothing, shoes, and accessories. There are many types of stripes, such as pinstripes and thicker stripes. Since the trend is bold patterns, thicker stripes are preferred over thin stripes since they stand out more. Checkered prints also come in different varieties such as thick and thin. An example of a bold checkered print is a garment with a plaid pattern where the colors have been printed to be thick.
Sporty dresses are another trend for spring taken from the runway. A sporty dress is a casual dress that can be worn during the day. The style was inspired from athletic influences, specifically tennis. Common features of this dress include a shorter length (above the knee or mid-thigh), a flared aline skirt, a fitted bust and waist, and a neckline that shows the arms but is not strapless (sleeveless crew necks and spaghetti straps are examples).
